Privacy Policy - OnMee Try-On Snipper
Last updated: 2026-02-03
1. Who we are
OnMe Try-On Snipper ("we", "our") is a Chrome extension that lets you snip product images from the web and use AI try-on with your reference photo. This policy describes what data we collect and how we use it.
2. Data we collect
Account and sign-in
When you sign in with Google, we receive and store your email, name, and profile picture from Google. We use Google OAuth; we do not receive your Google password.
Images
We collect the reference photo (your photo) and product images (clothing/items) you add or snip, plus any text prompt you enter. These are used to perform the AI try-on and are stored on our servers.
Credits and usage
We store your credit balance, generation history (for example status, result image paths, whether you liked a result), and related metadata (for example timestamps, cost per generation) to provide the service and manage your account.
Product source (optional)
For product images you snip from the web, we may store the webpage URL and whether the image was uploaded or snipped, for product metadata only.
3. Where we store it
On your device (Chrome extension)
Chrome extension local storage: We store auth tokens (access and refresh) and your user info (id, email, name, picture) so you stay signed in. We also store sync timestamps and preferences (for example overlay display mode) in Chrome's local storage.
IndexedDB: We use IndexedDB only for local cache (for example copies of your reference/product state and generations list) to make the extension faster. This cache is on your device and can be cleared when you clear site/extension data.
On our servers
We store your account data (email, name, picture, credits), reference and product image paths, generation records (inputs, outputs, status, likes), and product metadata (for example paths, source type, webpage URL for snipped items) on our infrastructure.
4. How we use your data
- To provide the extension: sign-in, saving your reference and product images, running try-on, showing your generations and credits.
- To call the Gemini API: we send your reference image, product images, and text prompt to Google's Gemini API to generate try-on results. Use of that data by Google is subject to Google's privacy policy and API terms.
- To improve and operate the service: for example debugging, sync across tabs, and enforcing limits (for example credits, concurrency).
5. Brand-product consents for try-on
For brand products, we use separate consent categories so you can choose what is allowed:
5.1 Aggregate analytics consent
If enabled, your eligible brand-product interaction data may be included in aggregated analytics (for example totals, trends, and demographic breakdowns) shown to brands. These analytics are intended to be aggregate and not a public display of your direct personal identity.
5.2 Marketing consent
If enabled, your eligible try-on outputs and related engagement data may be used for marketing purposes by OnMe and/or participating brands, as described in the product experience and campaign context.
5.3 Social media sharing consent
If enabled, your eligible outputs may be used for social media sharing/publication workflows tied to brand campaigns or creator-share flows.
5.4 Managing consent
These consents are independent categories. You can allow one and decline another where controls are provided. Updates to your choices apply going forward.
6. Sharing
We do not sell your personal data.
We share data only as needed to run the service: for example with Google (OAuth sign-in and Gemini API). We may use hosting or infrastructure providers that process data on our behalf under contract.
7. Your choices and rights
- You can sign out from the extension; we stop using your tokens for new requests.
- You can clear extension data (Chrome: extension details → "Clear data" or remove the extension) to delete locally stored tokens and cache.
- For account or server-stored data (email, images, credits, generations), you can contact us to request access, correction, or deletion (see Contact below).
8. Data retention
We retain your account and generation data on our servers for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service and comply with law. You can ask us to delete your account and associated data.
9. Security
We use industry-standard measures (for example HTTPS, secure tokens) to protect data in transit and at rest. Auth tokens are stored only in Chrome's extension storage on your device.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. We will post the current version at this URL and, where required, notify you of material changes.
